How do I get there from Tokyo?

Shinkansen to Nagano (80 min). Bus to Hakuba (90 min). Otari shuttle (25 min). Door to door: about 3.5 hours.

Is it loud at night?

It can be. We're a social lodge. If you want silence by 9 PM, we're probably not your spot. If you want to meet people and have a good time, you're home.

Parking?

Free. On-site. Fits 8 cars. Snow tires required Dec through March.

Ski rental?

We store your gear. Rental shops at each resort, 5-20 min drive. We'll point you to the right one.

Tattoos and onsen?

Some local onsen are tattoo-friendly. We keep a list. Ask at the front desk.

What about summer?

Accepted Answer

Hiking, mountain biking, river stuff, Tsugaike Nature Park. Different energy. Still worth the trip.
